Weekly Publisher Note πŸ‚βœ¨πŸβœ¨πŸ‚ October 7-13, 2026

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher October 7, 2026

Welcome Friends~

I hope you are all enjoying this warmer week of autumn. October is here, but thankfully, the weather is holding out for us! My flowers are still so beautiful, the hummingbirds must have already migrated south, and I am still seeing the last of the Monarch butterflies. I am trying to enjoy every bit of this beautiful fall weather while it lasts.

With the changing season comes new types of events and activities. Be sure to come back to my events calendar often and check out my guides when you are looking for fun ways to spend time with your family. I will be filling the guides with Halloween events and activities, along with plenty of other fun local events, so keep an eye out!

πŸ“… A Little Help With Our New Events Calendar

I know some of you have noticed that our calendar looks different and are having a difficult time navigating events on the new platform. I wanted to remind you of a few features that may make it a little easier to use.

You can choose the specific day you want to look at, view a weekly calendar, look at next week's events, or switch to a monthly calendar view. You can also search by venue, organization, or category.

I have also started an Events This Week article to highlight some of the upcoming events happening around the South Metro. However, remember that our events calendar is still the best place to see all of the events I have added.

I apologize to those of you who are having a difficult time getting used to the new calendar. Hopefully, with a little time, it will become easier and more familiar to navigate. I truly appreciate your patience as we work through the changes!

Wishing you all a wonderful, family-filled week filled with joy, good health, and hopefully lots of outdoor time. Enjoy this beautiful October weather while we have it!

With Thanks,
Jodi πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚
